PTSA

The Phoenix Middle School PTSA is a community of parents, teachers and students sharing a common goal of improving and supporting our school. Through programs and an ongoing dialogue, we strive to enhance the student experience. We encourage parents to voice constructive input and offer their time and energy. As an active participant, parents will stay connected to their school and their children, as well as create a better environment for learning.

Please join the PTSA at Phoenix.

Any parent, student, teacher, staff member or community member is welcome to be a part of the PTSA.

  • Welcome to the new school year! Whether you have an incoming 7th grader or are a seasoned parent of an 8th grader, Phoenix M.S. PTSA is a vital resource that directly benefits your student. How you ask? Many ways! While we have a relatively small student population, we are large in scope with incredible enrichment opportunities that are in great part supported by the PTSA. Here are a few programs that benefit through funds that we provide:

    • PhoenixMS.org & M.A.P. System This is unique to Phoenix M.S. within the Worthington School District and is key to the student mastery system
    • Advanced Technology Resources for 21st Century Learning PTSA supported “Annual Community Garage Sale” proceeds have been used to purchase SMART boards, programmable drones, innovative computer systems & digital photography equipment, to name a few...
    • Travel Funds for Every Student A key element in learning is exploring! The PTSA gives every student a “stipend” to help defer some of the costs of world experience!
    • Scholarships Every year two alumni of Phoenix M.S. are awarded $500 to apply towards college opportunities
Soon you will be learning about Phoenix M.S. events such as “Phoenix Fair”, “Chili & Chocolates”, “The Magazine Drive” & “Community Garage Sale”. In order to continue the level of excellence that we have come to expect, it is important that everyone participates either through volunteerism and/or financial support.

The first step to support is incredibly easy ... Join Phoenix PTSA!
  • The number one reason to join PTSA is to benefit your child. But in doing so, you also help our entire school community. Enjoy the benefits PTSA membership offers:
    • Connections & Resources: Membership provides opportunities for you to connect with families and staff to build relationships, share comments and offer suggestions.

    • Gain Experience: By volunteering with PTSA, you gain valuable experience. It's an opportunity to put your skills and hobbies to use for a great cause - your child and all children in our community.

    • Let Your Voice Be Heard: Speak and vote at PTSA meetings on issues important to you.

    • Influence Education Reform and Child and Family Services: The simple act of joining PTSA - even if you do not have the time to get personally involved - increases the local, state and national presence of PTSA in its advocacy efforts to improve the health, welfare and education of all children
