The study of language, history, and the cultural heritage of society helps to develop an appreciation and understanding of others. In addition, the study of foreign literature deepens the aesthetic values of students and enhances the level of their own cultural development.
The first year of language study concentrates on real-life use of Spanish. By teaching culture, history, geography, and music in the target language, students begin to acquire the skills needed to become proficient in Spanish. Students must come prepared to listen, think, and respond in Spanish during class.
